Get ready to experience the heart of SideBurn 2026! This year’s Temple and Effigy bring powerful themes of reflection, renewal, and celebration.
Accessible Seating Areas for Effigy and Temple Burns
The Effigy and Temple burns have a dedicated accessible seating area along the perimeter. Keep an eye out for the signs to find your spot. Up front, you’ll find a cozy ground-sitting zone. Just behind that, at a safe and comfy distance from the flames, we’ve set up a bring-your-own-chair section. Not sure if you’re far enough back? Just flag down one of our perimeter volunteers, and they’ll help you out.
The Octahedron Spire
by Royal Molly
Let the Octahedron Spire be our guide to SideBurn 2026, the rewilding. Carefully, thoughtfully watching all of us by sun & moon. The gathering place for celebration and all meaningful things on the haya. Be kind, please rewind.

Calling the Corners
by Constructing Hope
Visit our sacred space and invoke the elemental and spiritual energies of the cardinal directions. Observe the elemental associations of the North (earth), West (water), South (fire), and East (air). Reflect on the Temple animals, the physical invocations of nature’s guidance: the Moose for serenity and resilience, the Bear for healing and reflection, the Owl for wisdom and listening, the Raven for vision and playfulness. The burning of the Temple represents the triumph of light over darkness and a conscious effort to connect the human spirit to earth’s natural cycles. In the days leading up to the Temple burn, we invite you to visit and take a seedling to plant and contribute to the rewilding of the natural world.
