Equity Ticketing - SideBurn

SideBurn strives for participation and radical inclusion for all those who wish to attend the event. Our Equity Ticketing program, with applications open until May 1, 2026, offers two distinct streams in the hopes of making the event more accessible. You can apply for one or for both.

These streams are:

Reduced-cost tickets

You can apply for a reduced-cost ticket. You’ll still participate in the main sale/ticket lottery or directed group sale (art grant recipients, applicable volunteers and theme camp members only), but if your application is approved, you’ll be given a voucher for 75% off your ticket. This does not apply to the cost of parking passes.

Deadline to apply: May 1, 2026
We recommend applying early, as applications must be approved before ticket sales.

Equity Assist

If you require physical support assistance with the activities of daily living (personal care, physical functions, functional mobility, etc), you can apply for Equity Assist. This means that if you receive a ticket offer, you’re guaranteed a second ticket for a person to support you that bypasses the lottery.

When to Apply

To ensure your equity application is reviewed in time, please apply before the lottery and before purchasing your ticket. Those receiving a Theme Camp Directed Group Sale ticket must apply by February 25 for their application to be processed in time for the sale. Applying early is strongly encouraged.

Applications are reviewed within approximately 48–72 hours and applicants will be notified of the outcome by email. All applications remain confidential. For questions or accommodation requests, please contact equity@sideburn.ca.
