Vehicles

Note: This policy was approved on January 21, 2025

Every vehicle that passes through the event’s gates needs a vehicle pass (motorcycles and bicycles excluded).

SideBurn offers two types of vehicle passes:

  • Regular Vehicle Pass: All private passenger vehicles. For example, cars, trucks, minivans, SUVs, OR box trucks of any size that are needed to support a theme camp’s operations (with the approval of the City Department).
  • RV Pass: Any non-private passenger vehicle in which to live/sleep. For example, bus conversions, travel trailers, teardrop campers, pop-up campers, hybrid trailers, camper vans or conversion vans (Class B motorhome), Class C motorhomes, OR a box truck not intended to support a theme camp’s operations.

When a ticket offer is made, one (1) regular vehicle pass may be purchased. This pass can be purchased alongside a ticket or added later.

If a participant wishes to purchase an RV pass, they should join the RV lottery when their event ticket is purchased. A limited number of RV passes will be awarded by lottery during the first week of April. The waitlist thereafter is first come, first serve.

All vehicles and trailers must have a valid license plate and follow the Ontario Towing Laws.

SideBurn does not guarantee that your vehicle will be able to be driven or parked in the event area.

Access to the event site beyond the RV parking area close to the entry gate will be weather permitting. Large vehicles are very likely to damage the road in bad weather or, worse, get stuck in the field.

All vehicles, large or small, assume the responsibility of paying their towing fees if they become stuck. All vehicles must be removed from the site no later than three (3) hours after the end of the event.
