Call for Volunteers: Fire Spinner Safety Lead

Are you passionate about fire arts and safety? Sideburn is looking for a Fire Spinner Safety Lead to ensure our fire spinning activities are safe, inclusive, and unforgettable!

Role Overview

As Fire Spinner Safety Lead, you will:

  • Oversee safety protocols for fire spinning zones and open practice areas.
  • Develop and deliver fire safety training for participants.
  • Review performance applications with the Fire Art Safety Team (FAST).
  • Coordinate with performers and FAST to implement safety plans.
  • Ensure proper fuel handling, prop inspections, and emergency procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fire spinning or safety experience (preferred, but not required).
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Passion for community collaboration.
  • Availability for planning and training throughout the year.
  • On-site support during the event weekend.
