SideBurn is seeking an Art Assistant to the Art Producer (Leanne/Phoenix). If you love art and are also great at keeping things organized, read on!
What we’re looking for:
- Administrative help: helping manage art grant applications, organizing supporting documentation, issuing artist contracts
- Committee management: working with the art producer to assist with organizing and leading art grant committee meetings, in which we assess and choose art for grant awards
- Artist Liaison: Corresponding with artists via email to answer questions and make sure projects are on track pre-event.
- On Site: Checking in artists on arrival, making sure projects complete their setup, and troubleshooting with the assistance of the Art Producer.
- Other: This role may also involve meeting with Placement, assisting with event organization (e.g., Kids Burn), and other art-related activities as they arise. You’re welcome to propose ideas and improvements that you’re excited about!

Time Commitment
The role will include check-in meetings with the Art Producer from December through May, approximately bi-weekly. The most time-intensive part of this role is in January, when we assess art grants, requiring 10+ hours per week when the grant committee meets. Applicants should be available for additional coordination work on-site at SideBurn. Eligible for a directed ticket.
