All fire performers must abide by the following rules:

  1. Performers must bring their own fire safety equipment such as a wet-blanket or fire retardant blanket.
  2. Performers must ensure there is at least one (1) person on safety for every two (2) performers active.
  3. Performers must bring their own fuel (naphtha) and fuelling infrastructure.
  4. Only naphtha (Coleman fuel, white gas) is the permitted fuel for organized conclave.
  5. Performers must be sober before and during the conclave time, no exceptions.
  6. SideBurn is a Leave No Trace (LNT) event. This means no spin outs, ground burns or spills.
  7. Performers must keep 10 feet away from the effigy and perimeter at all times while handling a lit or extinguished prop.

Both Chaos Conclave and Organized Conclave performances will take place before the Effigy burn on Saturday, May 17, 2025. You will receive further logistical details for Effigy Night and a safety review for your performance. FAST has the responsibility of ensuring safety, they have final say on what is and what is not permitted.
